KPS organizes workshop for mothers

kathua, Aug 29: KPS Juniors, the pre-primary wing of Kartar Public School conducted a workshop for mothers of toddlers on Wednesday.
'Not Wasting Food' was the theme of the workshop. The mothers were taught how to prepare tasty and delicious food without using flame. Teachers demonstrated how to make laddus using besan, coconut and sesame seeds, vegetable and fruit salads, sandwiches and savouries. Mothers participated in the activities enthusiastically and shared their experiences. Speaking on the occasion, Harpreet Kaur, Secretary-cum-Principal said that malnutrition and under nutrition are common problems even in well to do homes.
Er. Nirmaljit Singh, Chairman of KPS congratulated the staff and participants for their enthusiasm. He felt that mothers have to provide nutritious and tasty meals to children irrespective of their economic status. Avoiding wastage of food resources, consuming fresh and balanced diet and an active lifestyle will promote health and learning outcomes. He said that KPS is a premier CBSE senior secondary school that ensures quality learning and holistic development with community participation. At the end of the function, the participants thanked the management for conducting such community learning and awareness programs.
