Jammu, Aug 29: A special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court today sent deputy superintendent of Ambphalla prison, Feroz Ahmad Lone, to nine days custody of the premier investigating agency in connection with his alleged connivance with a militant at Srinagar central jail to send Kashmiri youth to Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) for arms training in terror camps. Lone was produced before the court here this morning. He, however, didn't respond to any media queries and also stumbled before entering the court. "Today the NIA produced him before a court which sent him on a remand till September 6," said an NIA official. Lone, who hails from Kashmir's Budgam district and is currently posted as deputy superintendent, Ambphalla prison in Jammu, was arrested on Tuesday along with the main accused Ishaq Palla. The two had allegedly connived to send two youth, Suhail Ahmad Bhat and Danish Ghulam Lone, to PoK for arms training in terror camps to wage war against India. |
