| SMC officers fall in vigilance net | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Aug 29: On the complaint lodged by one Shaft Ahmad Malik against officers/officials of Srinagar Municipal Corporation regarding commission of violation of building permission by one Showkat Ahmad Parray (beneficiary ) while construction of House at Sathurashahi Srinagar, a Joint Surprise Check was conducted/ probed by Vigilance Organization Kashmir, during which it was surfaced that the officers/officials of SMC in league with Showkat Ahmad Parray have intentionally and deliberately allowed the illegal construction of commercial complex instead of residential house No. 101 at Sathurashahi Srinagar under the garb of floods of 2014.
The officers/officials of SMC Srinagar have not acted in time and have shown criminal silence which paved way for the beneficiary to raise commercial structure on the fake and forged documents.
This act of officers/officials of SMC discloses commission of offence punishable U/S 5(1) (d) of PC Act r/w 5(2) J&K PC Act Samvat 2006 and 120-B RPC subsequently Case FIR No. 30/2018 P/S VOK was registered and investigation taken up. |
