| 17 bovine animals rescued | | |

RAMBAN, Aug 29: Continuing its drive against the bovine smuggling & to deal the bovine smugglers with iron hand, on the directions of SSP Ramban Ms Anita Sharma , a police party led by SHO Ramban Inspector Vijay Kotwal under supervision of Dy. SP HQ Ramban Asgar Malik & under close supervision of additional SP Sanjay Parihar established a surprise naka near Shan Palace Ramban. During checking & frisking of vehicles, a truck bearing Registration No. JK 02AS/ 6283 got intercepted and on its search the said truck was found loaded with bovine animals which were being illegally transported towards kashmir. All the 17 bovine animals have been rescued. Moreover, the vehicle has been seized & the driver of the vehicle namely Nazir Ahmed S/O Mohd Munshi R/O Gole Gujral Jammu have been taken into custody. In this regard case FIR No. 127/2018 U/S 188RPC, 3 PC Act stands registered at Police Station Ramban and investigation being taken up to ascertain the source & other persons involved in the crime. |
