DDC Jammu calls for creating mass public awareness of the Scheme

JAMMU, Aug 29: The LadliBeti District Task Force meeting was held today under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar to review the progress under the scheme. ADDC Suraiya Jabeen, District Programme Officer ICDS Natasha Kalsotra, CPO Jammu G.L. Sharma and other senior officers of the concerned department were present in the meeting.
During the meeting, District Task Force approved 1285 cases registered under LadliBeti scheme.
District Development Commissioner said that the aim of the scheme is to achieve healthy child sex ratio in the district and provide financial support to girl-child in the state adding that the scheme addresses the concerns of girl's right from birth to adulthood by providing financial security to them.
Ramesh Kumar called the officers for creating mass public awareness under LadliBeti scheme and stressed for ensuring its cent percent implementation in the district.
While discussing future course of action, District Development Commissioner emphasized for conducting monthly meeting to review progress under the scheme.
Revenue department was asked to timely issue Income certificate, PRC and other related documents to the beneficiaries so that they don't face inconvenience in availing the benefits under the scheme. Besides this, J&K Bank was asked to open the bank account of beneficiaries.
