J&K police to organise 'Run For Peace' marathon on Sunday

Srinagar, Aug 30: The Jammu and Kashmir Police is organising 'Run For Peace' marathon this Sunday from Lake View Police Golf Course on Boulevard to Saida Kadal Bridge here.
The full marathon (men) will start at 5.30 am from Police Golf Course to Saida Kadal Bridge and back, a police spokesman said.
The first five winners will get a cash prize of Rs 30,000, Rs 25,000, Rs 20,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000, respectively.
The half marathon (men) will start at 5.45 am from Police Golf Course Srinagar to Duck Park and back, the spokesman said, adding that the half marathon (women) will start at 6.00 am.
The first five winners of both the categories will get a cash prize of Rs 20,000, Rs 15,000, Rs 12,000, Rs 10,000 and Rs 5,000, respectively.
The 8-km boys' run (under 14) will start at 6.15 am from Police Golf Course Srinagar to Ghat No. 25 and back.
The 8-km girls' run (under 14) will start at 6.30 am from Police Golf Course Srinagar to IG CRPF Office Chowk and back.
The first 10 winners of both the categories will get a cash prize of Rs 15,000, Rs 12,000, Rs 10,000, Rs 9,000, Rs 8,000, Rs 7,000, Rs 6,000, Rs 5,000, Rs 4,000 and Rs 3,000, respectively, the spokesman said.
The 4-km 'run for fun' for all age groups will start at 6.45 am from Police Golf Course Srinagar to Botanical Garden Crossing and back, he added.
