8/30/2018 10:04:50 PM
Srinagar, Aug 30: Division Bench of State High Court Comprising Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice Alok Aradhe directed Sports Council to place an action taken report before the next date of hearing as also its recommendations what according to it would be optimum sports facilities required in any child care institutions.
Director SWD informed Court that seventeen child care institutions are being operated in the Kashmir province. Out of these, six institutions are devoted for girls (Markazi Falahi Mastoorat) and 11 are devoted to boys (Markazi Falahi Itfal).
DB was informed by Moksha Kazmi, counsel appearing for the J&K State Sports Council, that vide orders dated 2nd August, 2017 and 29th November, 2017, the J&K State Sports Council has provided the facilities in two child care institutions.
DB observed that we see no reason as to why the same is not provided to all other child care institutions. Furthermore it is for the Sports Council to assess, recommend and provide what is needed in respect of outdoor and indoor games in the child care institutions.
DB further said that the Sports Council shall place an action taken report before the next date of hearing as also its recommendations what according to it would be optimum sports facilities which would be required in any child care institutions.
