2 motor bike lifters held, three stolen bikes recovered

JAMMU, Sept 2: With arrest of two motor bike lifters and recovery of three stolen bikes from their possession, Satwari police today claimed to have busted a gang of motor bikes lifter.
Police spokesman said that yesterday a complaint was lodged by Mohd Rafiq of Bashir Gujjar Basti Belicharana that during the intervening night of August 30 and 31 some unknown person/persons stolen his bike Hero Honda Glamour bearing Registration number JKO2BP-1265 from outside his house.
On this a case under FIR No. 144/2018 under section 379 of RPC was registered at Satwari police station and investigation started.
Police spokesman further said due to hectic efforts of the police some suspects were rounded up and put to sustain questioning during which accused namely Altaf Hussain alias Zakir of Chanderkote, Ramban and Shabir Ahmed of Yeti Nag, Zainbal Tehsil Doru presently staying at Belicharana confessed their involvement in the commission of crime and on their disclosure stolen motor bike and two other motor cycles including Hero Honda Splendor bearing Registration number JK02BIC-4046 Chassis No. MBLH1OB FFHB2 6182 Engine No HA10ERF H849336, Hero Honda Splendor without registration number and Chassis No MBLHAR087 JHA55982 Engine No HA1OXAGJ HAE1511 stolen by them from different locations were recovered and some more recoveries from them is expected.
