| Revised Development Plan for Gharana: DB grants 4 weeks' time | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 2: In the much publicized Public Interest Litigation regarding preservation of Gharana wetland, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur and Justice Sindhu Sharma after hearing both the sides, asked Sr. AAG HA Siddiqui to file a status report with regard to the submission of the Revised Integrated Development Plan as also the steps taken by the Government for making functional the Sewage Treatment Plan and other directions, as contained in order dated 05.03.2018.
Division Bench observed that by virtue of order dated 05.03.2018, directions were issued to the respondents to submit a Revised Integrated Development Plan in regard to the Wetland of Village Gharana as also take steps for functioning of the Sewage Treatment Plan. Further direction was issued to initiate proceedings in land acquisition of land measuring 408 kanals approximately for enhancing the wetland.
DB also granted four weeks' time to Sr. AAG SS Nanda appearing on behalf of revenue department to submit the status report with regard to the steps taken for acquisition of land within four weeks. |
