| Mendhar Bus Stand lacks facilities | | | MS Nazki

Poonch, Sept 2: People of Mendhar sub division have rued the official apathy towards general bus stand saying it lacks basic facilities thus putting scores of passengers to hardships.
They said that daily commuters including men, women children visit the general bus stand Mendhar but neither there is any facility of waiting room, passenger shed, drinking water nor they have any lavatory facility available there which according to them was the most needed works to be done on priority.
Though the Rural Development Department has been assigned the job of maintaining it properly yet the attention of the concerned authorities has not gone towards the sensitive issue despite collecting a hefty amount from small vehicles @ Rs 20 and @ Rs 30 to Rs 50 from each bus as adda fee per day source added. They further said there was no cleanliness in the bus stand and BDO office Mendhar is in deep slumber hence the issue remains as it is. |
