Early Times Report

Udhampur, Sept 2: Kulwanta to Ladana road in Ramnagar is in dilapidated condition and the concerned authorities have proved useless in this regard.
A video has gone viral recently showing a bus carrying passengers on this road waiting and the passengers seen filling pits on the road so that the bus can move on it.
Surprisingly this road is being constructed under Pradhan Mantri Grameen Sadak Yogana (PMGSY).
Bishan Dass-an elderly man from Kulwanta told this reporter that this road becomes slippery even on a slight rainfall and water gets accumulated over it.
Another village of the same area said that the road is very much accident prone.
Sunita-a degree college student said that she reaches her college late due to the bad road as the vehicles ply at snail pace over this road to avoid any mishap. The village heads informed that time and again they visited the offices of concerned department but the only thing they got was assurances which never got materialized.
All the affected people have appealed to the Governor S.P Malik to look into the matter and get the goad repaired so that it can have vehicles plying over it safely and also it may become fit for the pedestrians to walk through it.
