JAMMU, Sep 6: Narcotics Control Bureau, Jammu Zone effected a major seizure of 22.145 Kgs. of Heroin from a Santro Car on 02/09/2018 near Jammu and arrested 03 persons, on own information. During investigation arrested persons revealed that the drug originated from Handwara (Kashmir) and was destined for Jalandhar (Punjab).
Accordingly NCB conducted simultaneously operations in Jammu, Punjab and Kashmir. On 03/04 September, 2018 a team of NCB and Punjab Police conducted a followup action at Jalandhar in which one person (who was to receive the seized drug) was arrested along with one vehicle and cash of Rs 17,49,400/- which was meant for payment of seized drug i.e. 22.145 Kgs. of Heroin. On 4th September, 2018 NCB Amritsar and Punjab Police conducted his House search of arrested person and recovered unaccounted cash of Rs.5,00,000/- and other documents. On 05th September, 2018, in follow up action, team of NCB seized 38.07 Kgs. Heroin from the house of another arrested person in area of Handwara, Kashmir, with co-operation of J&K police. |
