Social forestry officials 'swindle' daily wagers' wages | Victims appeal Raj Bhawan, demands vigilance probe | | Early Times Report rajouri, Sept 6: Around 40 daily wagers working with the Social Forestry department here under "CAMPA Closure" have accused the concerned DFO and Ranger of swindling their hard earned wages. A delegations of the affected daily-wagers said under norms, they were supposed to get a monthly salary of Rs 4,500 whereas only Rs 4,200 would be deposited in their respective bank accounts for the last many months. "By giving us less wages, the DFO and Ranger grabbed that money and it amounts to around Rs 2.80 lakhs," the daily wagers told Early Times. Despite repeated attempts the DFO and Ranger couldn't be contacted for comments. Meanwhile, in a fervent appeal to the Governor SP Malik the daily-wagers sought a probe into the matter through Vigilance department. |
