Kalakot sub district administration retrieve 202 Kanals of encroach land

RAJOURI, Sept 6: In a major anti-encroachment drive Administration of Kalakot sub district in a day long anti-encroachment drive has retrieved 202 Kanals of encroached State/ Forest land today.
The anti-encroachment drive was carried out by a team of officials from Revenue, Forest and police departments in the presence of two magistrates namely Raju Samyal and Ashok Kumar, tehsildr and naib tehsildar, Teryath respectively.
Khalid Hussain, Additional DC informed out of 202 Kanals of encroached land 140 Kanals of land belongs to Forest department in Khasra No.286 and remaining 62 Kanals land was State land under Khasra No.891 in Chak Mithyani village in Teryath tehsil.
Sources said the notices to the encroachers were already served but they didn't respond and ultimately district administration carried out the anti-encroachment drive.
"More such drives are also on the cards in the near future at different places under Kalakot sub district jurisdiction" said ADC.
