Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan celebrates Teachers' Day

Jammu, Sept 6: Teachers' Day was celebrated by the staff and students of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan (Deemed University), Shri Ranbir Campus today. Surjit Singh, Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, Akhnoor and Suraj Prasad, Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Ban Talab, Jammu were the Chief Guest and Distinguished Guest, respectively. Dr. Chander Mauli Raina, former Professor, Department of Jyotish, and Sharat Chander Sharma, Head of the Department of Modern Subjects were the special guests.
All the educationists were felicitated on the occasion. The programme was convened by Prof. Madan Mohan Jha, Head of the Department of Education and presided over by Prof. Vasudev Sharma, Principal of the campus. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Surjit Singh said that teaching is a noble profession and we all must live upto it.
He also pointed out that the discipline is of paramount importance for teaching-learning process to bring forth the desired results.
Distinguished Guest Suraj Prasad said that in his interaction with the students of the Campus, he was impressed with their sense of discipline as evinced by their respectful gestures.
He said that inculcation of this kind of value system is the need of the hour. Dr. Chander Mauli Raina said true education needs Abhava, Prabhava and Swabhava to be effective. The student should feel that there is a lack of something important in him.
