JAMMU, Sept 20: Dr. Veethika Tikoo, Daughter of Prof. Dr. Padmini Tikoo, Sitar maestro and R.K Tikoo has been declared for the award of Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Hindustani Music through an open viva-voce conducted by a team of examiners at Delhi.
It is to recall that Dr. Veethika is first and the only female classical Santoor player of Jammu and Kashmir State. |
