CEO makes mass transfers ahead of his retirement
Teachers smell a rat

Early Times Report
jammu, Sept 20: Chief Education Officer Udhampur has allegedly made mass transfers of the teachers in the garb of rationalization that too just a month ahead of his superannuation, raising many an eyebrows.
Sources told Early Times that the transfer order of teachers has come under scanner as the majority of the teachers were transferred from far flung areas to the city or roadside areas, in the name of rationalization. Astonishingly, only CEO Udhampur made transfers in entire Jammu Province which itself raises many questions.
"In Chenani Zone about 22 teachers were transferred and posted at suitable places. Primary School teachers were transferred and posted in Middle Schools just for the convenience of the teachers," they said further adding that two female teachers of Majalata Zone were posted at Tikri Zone.
"The orders suggest how some teachers have been posted to convenient places at the cost of others" said teachers raising doubt over the intent of such a move by the officer just a month before his superannuation.
"The rationalization has to be done within the cluster but female teachers were transferred from remote areas and posted on roadside schools according to their comfort," they said. They alleged that the transfer of the teachers from far off areas to roadside schools hint at shady deal as no such transfers have been made in entire Jammu province except Udhampur.
"Teachers were transferred from Primary Schools and adjusted in Higher Secondary Schools, a female teacher was transferred from Primary School Larey to Higher Secondary School Udhampur, instead of her posting in the same zone. Similarly a female teacher was transferred from Primary School Mansar to Higher Secondary School Tikri and teacher was transferred from High School Dhama to HSS Tikri" they rued.
