Early Time Report

JAMMU, Sept 20: The Power Development Department Employees Coordination Committee (PDDECC) today held a meeting here at Gladni Narwal in which representatives of all the unions of the
PDD participated and deliberated on the concerns of employees arising out of the issue of formation of Tradeco out of JKPDD as a first step by the government vide SRO 396 dated 11th September 2018.
Harvinder Singh, President JKEEGA, Jaipal Sharma, President DEA, Er Sachin Tickoo, Convenor Forum of Engineers, Sanjeev Bali, President PPEU, Ajaz Kazmi, General Secretary PPEU, Jasbir Singh, President ITI Employees, PC Sharma, President PEEU, Anil Slathia, Lineman Union were prominent among those present.
The participants of the Coordination Committee, discussed threadbare the issue of folding up and the modus operandi adopted by the Government.
It was felt that government has kept the employees in dark and there has been no discussion among the stake holder employees while operationalizing the plan. The Government has failed to issue any Human Resource Policies during the years and employees have been left in lurch. The Government should come out with clear policy with respect the locus standi of the employees in these companies. There is no career progression scheme presented by the government and the SRO issued fails to address the concerns of employees.
In order to make the voice of employees reach to the government, the representatives of all employees unions have decided to hold one day mass protest demonstration on September 24 against the policies of the government towards the PDD employees.
