5 day National Etching Workshop concludes at IMFA

Jammu, Sept 20: First ever 5-Day National Etching (Printmaking) Workshop concluded here today organised by Institute of Music and Fine Arts , University of Jammu in its premises.
A total no. of 23 from within and outside the state took part in the event beside noted painter and printmaker, Gokul Denbighshire.
Apart from the the products of IMFA including Ashwin Jamwal its ex- student now accomplishing Master in Visual Art from Viswa Bharti University, Santiniketan was the instrumentall behind the workshop.
Dr. Milan Sharma, Sukhjeet Singh and Ankush Kesar collectively did their to make the event successful. Rajendra Tiku, Padmashree, eminent, national and international sculptor was the special invitee on the occasion wherein Prof. Satnam Kour, Principal IMFA and Jang. S.Verman also shares the dais.
Rajendar Tiku underlined the contributions of legendary printmaker of the state, Gokul Dembi and termed the art of printmaking is full of scientific approach and challenging job. He assured his full support to the participants artist for their further activities in India and abroad. To him IMFA's contributions in Visual Art are on the world map. Prof. Satnam lauded the creative endeavours of resource persons and native artists to generate artistic ambience at IMFA with a difference and the way with the collective harmony and synergy of minds workshop created a fire yielded fruitful results.
