Carmel Convent School organizes Prize Distribution ceremony

JAMMU, Sept 20: Carmel Convent Higher Secondary School, Kunjwani organised the Prize Distribution ceremony for the session 2018-19, Term-I with great gusto and vehemence in the school premises.
On this auspicious occasion Rev. Fr. T.S. Jacob, the newly appointed Chairman of DJSEB was welcomed with a grand reception by the newly formed Band of the school. The function started with traditional ceremony of lamp lighting by the dignitaries which was followed by soulful prayer dance. In this mega cultural function, the Carmelites exhibited theirtalent.
The programme was a bouquet of beautiful performances. Through their performances, the children spread the colours of love and unity.
This was followed by a prize distribution ceremony for the achievers of all the classes, in which excellence in academics, sports and co-curricular activities was duly acknowledged. The students who achieved 10 CGPA in Class 10th JKBOSE Examinations were also felicitated.
The chief guest motivated and inspired the students to participate in more and more activities and competitions. He remembered late Rev. Bishop Hippolytus Kunnunkal and briefed about the history of the school and highlighted the services rendered by Carmel to the people of Jammu. He added that the soil of Carmel is composed of hardwork and dedication.
The School Principal Sr. Maria Swati a.c. presented the vote of thanks and expressed gratitude to the chief guest for his presence and the inspiration that he gave to the students of the school. The ceremony was concluded by the School Anthem.
