Jammu, Sept 20: In a petition filed and argued by Advocate, seeking registration of FIR against Ex-BJP Cabinet Minister Abdul Gani Kohli and others in which petitioner highlighted encroachment of 10 Kanals Forest Land by Abdul Gani Kohli ex-Minister for Animal and Sheep Husbandry J&K Government at Nowabad Sunjwan and raised a huge educational complex comprising of a B.Ed College, ETT College, B.N. Para Medical School, B.N. Public School, ATM and Branch of J&K Bank, a Division Bench of the State High Court Comprising Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice Sanjay Kumar Gupta after hearing Adv Ankur Sharma appearing for the State impleaded Forest Department, Government of Jammu and Kashmir, through its Commissioner/Secretary, and issued notice. The Court grants two weeks' time to file response.
It is worthwhile to mention here that earlier Division Bench directed respondents to provide the map of the area in question clearly showing Khasra No.356 as also Khasra No.264. The counsel appearing for the Forest Department shall also place on record any Notification with regard to the Bahu Range Forest indicating the extent of the said forest.
