JAMMU, Oct 4: Computer Sciences and IT Engineering Department of Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) organized a cleanliness drive under the aegis of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan here today.
This mission was launched by the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India in 2014 on the occasion of 145th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation. In this cleanliness drive, in participation with the faculty members the student volunteers of the said Department took active part and cleaned entire area of the campus. Er. Dinesh Gupta, Head of the Department said that this was an ideal initiative to create a sense of awareness among the students to maintain health and hygiene.
Dr. Arvind Dewagan, Director, Dr. V.K Koul, Dean and Er. Nidhi Jamwal (Administrative Secretary) appreciated the efforts of the students for doing such a noble cause towards healthy environment for a healthy tomorrow. |
