Twelve years on, candidates still await result of their interview for class IV posts | | | Early Times Report BARAMULLA, Oct 4: Twelve years have passed since interview of class IV posts was held in Baramulla district, but the district administration has failed to declare the results and many candidates have crossed the upper age limit for a government job. Sources said that in 2006, scores of candidates had applied for class IV posts that were advertised by the district administration vide advertisement number 04/DDC of 2006, dated 18-10-2006, under endorsement number DDCB/2006 class 4th/8522-35, dated 19-10-2006). Today a large gathering of candidates awaiting the selection list staged a protest demonstration against the district administration at Keriypa Park in Baramulla for not publishing the same. They said that, "in the month of June, the Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, in a video massage assured the candidates that the list will be published in the first week of August and he also inform the media through information department that candidates will not suffer more and list will be made public within a weeks' time but the promise has remained so as it was no promise, but to keep the nerves of these candidates cool". "Earlier we had lodged a complaint in the Governor's grievances cell about the list, however in the month of June, the Director planning assured the grievance cell that list will be published within few days, but till date the list was not published" they added seeking intervention of Governor administration. Meanwhile the class IV aspirants later marched peacefully towards the DC office complex and lodged strong protest against the authorities. |
