JKReTTF seeks relook into Group Mediclaim Policy order | | |
Early Times Report RAJOURI, Oct 7: The Rajouri unit of Jammu and Kashmir Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers Forum (JKReTTF) has urged the state government to revisit the Group Mediclaim Policy order. Aftab Tantray, District President JKReTTF Rajouri has impressed upon the government to relook into such an order of imposing this policy product as compulsory to be purchased. Tantray and several other employees pointed out that most of the employees have already subscribed various insurance covers including LIC and JK Bank Insurance. Hence no one can be forced or compelled to purchase any other product against his/her wish as a matter of consumer right. Pertinently, state government in an order has bounded its employees to purchase a Group Mediclaim Policy from Reliance Insurance company against an annual premium of Rs 8777 ( Rs 3600 Medical Allowance + Rs 5177). The sum of 5177 has to be paid in four installments quarterly while an amount of Rs 3600 shall be paid in advance to Reliance Pvt. Ltd. |
