| World Mental Health Day observed | | |

Jammu, Oct 10: World Mental Health Day observed in the office of Block Medical Officer (BMO) Kandi on Wednesday. BMO Kandi with other health officials organized a function for the awareness of Mental Diseases. He gave a PowerPoint Presentation and talked on various programmes launched by the health department.
He said as per the World health report 2001 magnitude of the mental disorder is 10 to 15% of the adult population, and accounts for 20% economic burden in India. Its prevalence is very high as 1 in every 5 Indians is suffering from some form of mental disorder. |
