Deportation of Rohingya Refugees! Well Begun is half done | | | Ravinder Jalali
There is a famous English saying which says "Well begun is half done" and is appropriate for Rohingyas illegal immigrants. Finally seven illegal Rohingyas immigrants have been deported to Myanmar, despite hurdles created by so called pseudo human right activists to thwart the Governments move to send them back. These seven illegal immigrants were in India from 2012 and were convicted under Foreigners Act, and treated as illegal. All these people were sent to Myanmar, when their own country accepted that they are their people. Supreme Court rejected the plea of one of the Rohingyas and other so called human right activists like Prashant Bhushan who himself feeds on the national resources and simultaneously acting against the interests of India by supporting all those who are anti-nationals and working for breaking India and does not care or bother about crores of our own people, who go without a meal in the night but pleads for these outsiders who are simply burden on our sources. Now the question is when the rest of the Rohingyas are deported to Myanmar? The question is not only of sending them back but how these people came to Jammu from such a far off place. Who are their sponsors and supporters in Jammu and why they are being encouraged and supported by Kashmiri politicians? The bigger question is that who are they? Let me reiterate that they are the people who have not been persecuted but are the persecutors and are all involved in terrorist activities in their home country as well as in J&K. Secondly why we should feed them at our cost?, when our is a poor country and resources are limited. Rohingyas are people from the Rakhine State of Myanmar, who reside mainly in Northern Arakan Township. During the Pakistan movement in the 1940`s, Rohingyas in western Myanmar organised a separate movement to merge the state with East Pakistan (Now Bangladesh). Rohingyas founded the Mujahidin Party as a Jihadi Movement in Northern Arakan in 1947. The aim of Mujahidin Party was to make Arakan as an autonomous Muslim State. The strange and interesting feature is that Kashmir centric politicians and separatists are extending all the help to these refugees and it was recently reported that these Rohnigyas are now in a position to form groups and approach the local politicians who extend their support of all kinds including people. With the latest revelations as per newspaper reports Rohingyas Muslims settled illegally in Jammu has now resorted to drug pedalling as well as girl trafficking besides the anti-national activities as found in Sunjwan terrorist attack on the army recently. These Rohingyas are settled around these military camps and are considered as providers of base for launching terrorist activities. Gauging from these incidents it seems that these Rohingyas are stretching their limits and have become more assertive and all these can not happen without the support from local people and political patronage especially Kashmir centric leaders. Even Intelligence agencies has raised the issue with Ministry of Home Affairs and called for an immediate check of these Rohingyas from settling down in Jammu. These Refugees are helped by some NGOs in providing them the basic amenities and arranging to provide education to their children in Madras's. There are some NGOs including noted lawyer Prashant Bhushan who take the plea of International Human Rights convention and fundamental rights but these so called learned people forget that India is not a member of refugee convention and fundamental rights does not apply to illegal immigrants. The Rohingya issue is now a national issue because these Rohingyas are spread all over India mostly in NCR, J&K, Hyderabad, Haryana, UP and various other states across India and some NGOs are fighting for their rights in the Supreme Court. Now it has become a political issue and so many organisations and pseudo secular forces are pleading their case. They already want facilities like education, health care etc for them and want the Govt. to direct the forces at the borders not to stop or create problems when they will come to border for coming over to this side. This is the kind of assertiveness on their part and it is not possible unless there is some local support from any quarter. It is worth mentioning here that none of the Muslim countries who raise their voice for their human rights have opened their door for these Rohingyas. Although these Muslim counties are rich and can easily afford to feed them and settle in their country but plainly refused to accept, knowing that this will be nuisance and threat to the security and integrity of their country. On one hand they show solidarity with them on the basis of common religion bondage but close their doors for them. This is the hypocrisy. These leaders should understand that no body did talk about Kashmiri Pandits when they were thrown out of their homes by the radicalised Islamists in a secular and democratic country. Nobody expressed concern when genocide of Hindu took place in Rakhine state of Myanmar by these Rohingyas. Now the question arises why there is so much noise on Rohingyas and silence for other communities. Why other people living as refugees in India remain unheard by their own people? Why the blood of these so called Human Right activists boil for selective people who are not even the residents of our country where as they remain silent spectator to the agony and sufferings of their own country men? It seems that the religious bond seems to be much stronger than the national bond. In the light of above it is clear and visible that such type of things is getting shaped in Jammu also. Time will come shortly when it will be vote bank and political parties will promise them proper rehabilitation and will find place in legislatures and will claim rights and facilities equal to state subject which are not even applicable to those who are living in J&K for more than 70 years. Now Home Minister has asked the state government to indentify the Rohingya refugees and collect their biometric details. The centre wants to send the biometric details to Myanmar for sending them back to their country of origin. This has become important because police do not have the complete list of these illegal Rohingyas and try hit and trail method and when ever there is an illegal activity taking place in these areas they wake up and punch wrong keys. They have some genuine problems as these illegal immigrants are enjoying the local support of a particular community and all Kashmir based who extend all the support for their rehabilitation with ulterior motive which makes the job of Police a difficult one. Now this biometric will make their task easy and will facilitate easy identification and same data can be shared with Myanmar authorities for cross verification. Now with the return of seven Rohingyas to Myanmar, a hope has arisen that all these Rohingyas will be sent back to their country and will not become a symbolic only. |
