Jammu, Oct 9: NHPC Region J&K hosted Inter Regional Cricket Tournament today in which five cricket teams from various regions across NHPC participated. The tournament was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Ramesh Kumar, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu in presence of Chander Mohan, Executive Director, NHPC Region J&K at Jammu University, Cricket Ground. B.M. Gupta, Chief (Finance), Ramesh Kumar, Chief Engineer (Civil), senior officers and employees from NHPC Limited were also present. On the occasion Chander Mohan, Executive Director welcomed all the players who had reported across the Projects/ Power Station of NHPC Limited and briefed about the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Ramesh Kumar, Deputy Commissioner praised NHPC for conducting these kind of sports activities are very important for the employees keeping them physically & mentally fit, enthusiastic and for interpersonal relationship, resulting in keeping the employee's zeal live and contribute their hardships for the corporation and nation.
During these trials, all the selected players from all the Regions of NHPC are participating and the selection of the players shall be done by the professional coaches. The NHPC team selected during these trials shall participate in the Inter CPSU Cricket tournament under the aegis of Power Sports Control Board. |
