JAMMU, Oct 17: Youth National Conference paid tribute to the student Martyrs of 1966, namely Gulshan Handa, S. Gurcharan Singh, Brij Mohan and Subash Chander, who sacrificed their lives while fighting against the shifting of Agricultural University (SKUAST). Addressing gathering Sahil Singh Jamwal said that these Marty's are still alive in the youth of J&K who laid down their lives while agitating against the government's decision of shifting SKUAST. He added," In 1966 Police opened fire on the agitating students where 4 students were martyred. He said Mothers of Martyrs are very lucky who given birth to these Loins who fought for Redressal of Students Grievance He also congratulated and praised the efforts JJSF President Adv. Pushvinder Singh Manhas who decided to organize a football tournament in the memory of these Student Martyrs of 1966 so that the Young Generation particularly students shall come to know the contribution of these martyrs Interesting with the students Vihan, Dev Shubum, and Vidit said that every student and youth will work on the foot step of these Martyrs. Other Prominent leaders present who present on the occasion were Hitesh, Raman, Vishav, Harry, Aman, Vikram and others. |
