'After killing Parihar brothers, terrorists planning more attacks' | Terror has no religion | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 4: After killing the BJP leader Anil Parihar and his brother Ajeet Parihar in Kishtwar, terrorists are reportedly planning to carry out more strikes in the state and political leaders and workers could be their main targets. Sources told Early Times that terrorists have been directed by their bosses sitting across the Line of Control to create fear psychosis in the state ahead of the Panchayat polls so that their writ could prevail and people would stay away from the Panchayat polls. "Besides targeting the political workers the terrorists can also target the vital installations like water stations and power grids so that they can create fear among the minds of the people in winter months in the Kashmir Valley," sources added. They said that security forces going "all out" against the terrorists active in the Valley has frustrated their handlers. "The terror bosses are worried as local boys are not coming forward to join the terror ranks due to the fear of getting killed and the infiltrators not being able to cross the Line of Control due to robust counter infiltration grid being at place. They (terror bosses) have asked their men in J&K to change their strategy and target the people who are unarmed," sources added. A national news channel on Sunday reported that intelligence agencies have flagged off more threats to various installations in the region. "At least three potential targets that are on terror radar. These include Block Development Office in Tangmarg where the returning officer of the Panchayat polls has set a shop. Police station in Qazigund and a water pump near Kurigal village is also a potential target as many policemen visit the pump to get the water supplies," the news channel reported. A police official said that all the angles about killing of Parihar brothers in Kishtwar are being probed. "Apparently it looks like that they have been killed by the terrorists but the matter is under investigation, clear picture would emerge within a few days," the official added. Another official said that as the winter has arrived in Kashmir terrorists have started shifting their bases from the hinterland to the populated areas. "It won't be easy for them to carry out their nefarious plans as they are being tracked," he added. An analyst expressed dismay over Pakistan stooges endorsing the activities of terrorists by stating that "youth are angry." "These Pak agents should bear in mind that if they keep on patronizing them the day is not far when these terrorists would turn their guns towards them and kill them," the analyst added. |
