JAMMU, Nov 12: In connection with the celebration of world diabetes day falling on November 14, the 18th annual on the spot painting-cum-poster competition was held here today at Kamala Palace which was organized by Janta Diabetes Care Centre Talab Tillo, Jammu & JKFAS.
In connection with creating awareness about the disease this painting competition was held in which 15 prestigious schools of Jammu participated with more than 150 students putting their thoughts and concepts with the help of paint and brush on paper.
The painting competition was held on variety og concepts put forward by Dr Raj Kumar Sharma.
On the occasion, Dr Sharma discussed about the various aspects in the management of the disease and that certain precautions and care can help in the management of diabetes and prevent long term complications. He highlighted that regular exercise and balanced diet along with life style modifications go a long way in controlling diabetes. |
