Jammu, Nov 17: Kasturi Lal Gupta- a social activist and retired Master from School Education Department has won the election for Sarpanch from village Laati, Tehsil Chenani in District Udhampur by 300 votes.
Kasturi Lal Gupta defeated his opponent by 300 votes to emerge victorious in the sarpanch elections.
Total six candidates for Sarpanch were in fray and and counting was done at Government Higher Secondary School Laati and Kasturi Lal Gupta won by 300 votes.
"I am happy that I have got the opportunity to serve my people. My priorities will be the overall development of my area. I want to set an example for society by developing my area," the newly elected Sarpanch said. |
