RSS man appointed as Treasurer of J&K BJP to probe bungling of party funds | Top party leaders already under scanner for misuing party money | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 17: Keeping in the view allegation of large scale bungling in the party funds by senior leaders including some self-styled honest persons, RSS has ultimately appointed its own man as treasurer of the state BJP to keep a check on finance of the party and to conduct inquiry how some funds were allegedly swindled by senior leaders. Hardcore RSS leader and ex-officer of J&K Bank Limited Parbhat Singh was apponted as treasurer of state BJP on Friday. His appointed has raised many eye-brows because Singh has yet not formally joined BJP, although he had unsuccessfully contested urban local body elections from Top Sherkhanian ward of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC). Credible sources said that Parbhat Singh was appointed as Treasurer of the party to control mis-use of funds because there were complained of bungling in the party funds. "When BJP was part of the governments crores of rupees were collected by the touts of ministers from industrialists and business lobbies in the name of party funds to construct officers at different districts", sources said and added that some senior leaders were unscanner for allegedly swindling these funds. Meanwhile Parbhat Singh Jamwal today assumed the office of BJP's Account Section as party's State Treasurer in the presence of party's senior leaders at BJP Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. After assuming the chair, Jamwal interacted with the team of BJP's Accounts Section and had a quick view of the new responsibility. He acknowledged that the party has entrusted him with a great responsibility and he will do his best to keep with the faith of party. |
