| Theft case amounting to Rs 3 Lakhs solved within hours, stolen items recovered | | |

Kathua Dec 8: Kathua poluce today claimed to have solved theft case within hours of the incident at Seswan. Police spokesman said that a complaint to this effect has been received from Suresh Kumar of Seswan, Marheen about theft of gold ornaments and cash of Rs 40,000 amounting to total theft of Rs 3 lakhs from his home when the complainant and his family was out of home for few hours.
Police instantly registered a case under FIR no 269/2018 under sections 454 and 380 of RPC and swung into action. "During the course of investigation, Police team led by SI Ashwani Incharge Police Post Chadwal arrested one suspect namely Javed Ahmed Bhat of Batarda Basohli who after interrogation confessed about theft and on his disclosure Police recovered stolen items", said spokesman. |
