CSOs, IRACR trained on Juvenile Justice | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 8: A one day capacity building workshop for Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) & members of Interagency Regional Alliance on Child Rights on Child Rights (IRACR), child protection, J&K Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act 2013, Integrated Child Protection Scheme and role of CSOs & IRACR in implementation of JJ Act & ICPS was organized by National Development Foundation (NDF) in collaboration with Mission Directorate ICPS Social Welfare Department. Vikram Srivastava Founder of iThought, was the main resource person who facilitated the technical sessions. Rajiv Khajuria Founder Emeritus National Development Foundation/Member SCoC, Adv. Sheikh Shakeel, Adv. Rameshwar Singh Jamwal, Adv. Nischint Pachnanda member of JJB Jammu, Dr. Ashaq Raza Malik and Neha Gandotra Chief Operative Officer NDF were present during the workshop along with members of Interagency Regional Alliance on Child Rights and representatives from more than 15 CSOs of Jammu Region including Shanti Niketan Bal Bhavan, Aman Satya Kachroo Trust, Childline Jammu, Childline Poonch, Childline Reasi, Childline Kathua, Childline Railway Station Jammu, SOS Children Village, Gandhi Seva Centre Mendhar, Nehru Adarsh Youth Club, ACI Darhal and students of Social Work from Centre University Jammu. In depth discussions were held around child protection issues prevalent in Jammu region and the critical role CSOs and IRACR have in effective implementation of JJ Act and ICPS in the State. |
