KAS aspirants allege mass error mass scam in Mains 2016 Result | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 8: The result of 2016 mains examination of KAS announced recently has generated resentment and anger among the serious aspirants who have been preparing for this prestigious examination for the last 4-6 years. This is even so that these candidates have qualified KAS and IAS mains examination twice or thrice and have missed the final selection by a few marks. The very same aspirants have alleged that despite performing well in KAS 2016 mains examination they have not been shortlisted for Personal Interviews. Moreover the scheme of papers of optional subject and general studies was generic and of moderate level. It is pertinent to mention that for the first time in commission's history the KAS mains result has witnessed state wide protests and demonstration by the aspirants. The aspirants feel that these huge discrepancies have arisen due to the implementation of arbitrary scaling and moderation that too on selective subject, mass error in coding and deciding, digital checking of papers without any expertise and precedence. Out of 2869 candidates in four subjects 569 candidates have been selected for interviews and out of remaining 3700 only 400 aspirants have been selected which disproves the objective of parity of optional subjects claimed by the Chairman. The aggrieved aspirants in this regard organized a mass protest outside Governor House. The aggrieved aspirants have requested the Governor to intervene in this matter and demanded a high level inquiry should be initiated with immediate effect. The aspirants have also demanded that meanwhile the entire process of Personal Interviews should be stalled. |
