Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 27: A delegation of Youth Mohalla Welfare Committee, Wazir Lane, Talab Tillo Bohri, Jammu led by its Chairman DD Sharma, Vice Chairman Lalitender Sharma, President Jatinder Khajuria, Advisor Vinod Wazir, Gen. Secretary Girish Badyal, Media Advisor Vikas Khajuria and others called upon Chairman, Pollution Control Board. They apprised him of the long pending demand of shifting of Wine Factory owned and controlled by Dewans by name and style Dewan Modern Breweries at Talab Tillo Bohri, Jammu. According to the delegation, wine factory is creating problems for the locals of the area. D. D. Sharma told that it was a long pending demand of the area and the matter was taken up with the authorities but nothing has been done so far. Chairman, Pollution Control Board, has assured the delegation that an appropriate action will be taken immediately. It will not be out of place to mention here that the committee has initiated the chain of activities to lodge protest against the said factory including Signature Campaign in the area which was also handed over to the Chairman, PCB, Jammu. |
