Jammu, Dec 27: Jang S Verman, a senior artist and columnist on art & culture of J&K participated in 2nd Brahmaputra Art Festival organized by SMD Art Foundation, an NGO of Assam at the banks of river Brahmaputra from December 22 to 27.
He is the only artist of J&K state invited by the organizers. The artists of Italy, Turkey, South Korea, Dubai, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and India took part in the International Art event where folk artists of Assam, Chhattisgarh, Sri Lanka displayed their talent in performing arts. The demonstration of mask making, seminar and tour to local places, were the part of the festival.
In the recent past, Jang S Verman's art works were displayed in 34th ASROPA International Art Exhibition organized at Gunsa Art Centre in South Korea from December 1 to 10. 103 artists from 43 countries participated in this event. He has also displayed his art in 'Connect Vietnam- India: group show by Indian and Vietnamese artists in Vietnam during July, 2018. His art has also been displayed in Sweden during the month of August, last year. |
