Jammu, Jan 16: Medical unit IIT Jammu today organized an organ donation awareness camp in collaboration with MOHAN Foundation, under the supervision of Dr Karunika, Medical officer, IIT Jammu and her medical team with the co-operation of in-charge student welfare, Dr Anup Shukla.
A team from MOHAN Foundation, consisting of Sudhir Dewan, Honorary Director, Chandigarh branch and Neha Sharma, Programme officer, carried out the awareness session. The dignitaries present on the occasion were Director IIT Jammu, Prof. Manoj S Gaur, Dean Administration and officiating registrar, Prof. D.K. Pandya, OSD Cmde Naresh Kumar and Dr Pankaj Chauhan, Faculty in-charge, Medical Services. The event was attended by over 150 participants including faculty members, staff and students of IIT Jammu. The event aimed at spreading awareness regarding organ donation in areas like J&K, which is still lagging behind on this front, especially among the youth to carry forward a message for this noble cause and to pursue the message- life is beautiful, pass it on. |
