JKEDI association Prez gets punishment for siding with contractual employees | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 16: Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) has transferred the JKEDI Employees Welfare Association President to Kupwara for raising the issues of aggrieved employees. According to sources, the contractual employees had approached Advisor to Governor KK Sharma to seek regularization and they also approached JKEDI Employee Welfare Association and apprised the association about their grievances. In response to the communication of aggrieved employees the association wrote a letter to Advisor K K Sharma and Chairman JKEDI Governing Body i.e Chief Secretary J&K and forwarded it to Director JKEDI but the Director allegedly started harassing the contractual employees and did not give his consent to regularize the contractual employees. An aggrieved employee of the JKEDI questioned that if they can regularise a casual labour and can gift her 7600 pay grade what is the problem in addressing our grievance. "If all employees are equal then why is JKEDI regularizing the blue-eyed employees through backdoor?" he asked. He said that the president of the association who raised his voice in their favour has been sent on punishment posting to Kupwara. |
