Teachers Federation Demands implementation of transfer policy | | | Early Times Report POONCH, Jan 16: A delegation All Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation Poonch met Chief Education Officer Poonch Mushtaq Choud-hary and submitted a memorandum demanding Teachers Transfers. The delegation was led by Mohinder Bali, District President of the Federation. The delegation apprised the CEO that there are hundreds of teachers in Poonch district who have been working in for flung areas and have not been transferred for the past 5 to 7 years but the blue eyed and influential teachers have been serving within zero Kilometers for the past many years. They highlighted that the Education department has its own transfer policy but not being implemented in true letter and spirit. They demanded that the teachers who have completed their fixed tenure in odd areas be transferred suitably as per transfer policy. They demanded constitution of a Transfer committee so that the deserving and genuine cases are treated on priority discouraging corruption in the transfers. Teachers strongly stressed on the implementation of transfer policy in the current academic session. The CEO listened the issue sympathetically and assured necessary initiative in this regard. |
