SAMBA, Jan 16: District Police Samba under the overall supervision of Dr. Koshal Sharma, JKPS, SSP Samba foiled bovine smuggling attempts in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ghagwal by rescuing 12 bovines.
A Police Party of PP Rajpura headed by SI Karnail Singh, I/C PP Rajpura under the supervision of Inspr. Rajeev Kumar, SHO P/S Ghagwal and Sh. Deepak Digra, DySP Hqrs. Samba, during vehicle checking Naka at NHW Tapyal intercepted a truck bearing Regd. No. PB08CH-6243 which was coming from Kathua side. During checking of the vehicle 12 cattle found laden in it. All the cattle were rescued and shifted to safer place. The vehicle used for transporting the bovines without any permission was seized on spot. In this regard, a case FIR No. 04/2019 U/S 188 RPC, 2/3 PCA Act stands registered at P/S Ghagwal and investigation started. |
