Daily rated workers hold meeting over alleged utilizing of funds | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 16: Daily Rated workers, Jammu held a meeting today against the authorities of P.H.E department alleging misuse of allotted funds worth crores issued by the Jammu and Kashmir government. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of President Nisar Ahmed and was accompanied by various activists. President Nisar Ahmed said that the Jammu and Kashmir government had kept the 47.50 crore rupees in the financial year 2018-19 for the disbursement of the salary for the authenticated workers comprising of 4905 in finance department. Those workers were engaged by the then P.H.E Minister in the November 2005. He further added that the necessary verification was carried out by the government and it was found that the authenticated persons are entitled for the pay. Further alleging that P.H.E department has not been utilizing the funds in favour of the authenticated workers but is issuing the funds to the undeserving workers. Nisar Ahmad said that now we are appealing to the government of the state that necessary directions are taken in the issue and notice may be put forward to the concern department that how salaries were issued to the ineligible workers. Else we will be left with no option than to come on streets and protest. |
