| NSS Winter Camp commenced at GDC Basohli | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 19: 7 days NSS Winter Camp commenced at GDC Basoli which will culminate on 25-01-2019 in the college campus. The camp started with the lightning of traditional lamp followed by the Sarswati Vandana which was sung by participating girl students, under the supervision and able guidance of worthy Principal Prof. R.S. Jamwal. The NSS Programme Officer, Prof. Rakesh Singh addressed the participant students and discussed various activities which will be undertaken in the ongoing camp. He emphasized upon the role of NSS in nation building and deliberated upon the role of NSS Volunteers in the service of society and Nation building. He stressed upon the students to form groups and aware the general people in the adjoining area about various welfare schemes such as Swacch Bharat Abhiyan, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.
He also enlightened the students about the fundamental duties. Thereafter NSS caps and motivational books on personality development were distributed among the participants. Prof. Raman Kumar, Prof. Anil Kumar Dogra, Sandeep Sharma(PTI), Prof. Ajay Sharma, Prof. Mehnaz Choudhary, Prof. Asiya Khannam were present on the occasion. The proceedings of the program were conducted by Ashish Sharma & Naina Sharma. |
