| Kali residents protest against PDD | | |

MENDHAR, Jan 23: The residents of Kali on Wednesday held a protest against Power Development Department (PDD) authorities and demanded repair of a transformer and restoration of the power supply in this area.
Residents came out on the highway and shouted slogans against PDD. The residents alleged that a transformer was damaged many days ago at Kali but the PDD has failed to replace or repair it.
A local resident, said despite paying electricity bills on time, they don't have a transformer in the locality from the last many days. The protesters blocked the highway to make their demands heard. The SHO Poonch Inspector Mohd Anzir Mir reached the spot and assured them that their problems would be addressed soon. |
