Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 23: Sleuths of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) raided the Regional Transport Office (RTO) Jammu here on Wednesday and seized various records pertaining to driving licenses. Sources told Early Times that the ACB team seized the records pertaining to "Endorsement of Heavy Driving Licenes" allegedly issued to blue eyed and influential people through middlemen. These licenses have been allegedly issued after taking huge money from the beneficiaries. Sources said that the ACB team seized huge record pertaining to the scandal wherein direct heavy licences were issued to the influential people without following the due procedure while the deserving people were kept in waiting for months. The sources said that seizure of the record by the ACB has also put the RTO Jammu and other officials under scanner. "After scrutinizing the seized records from RTO office Jammu, the ACB is likely to file an FIR into the case as the prima facie it appears that the heavy vehicle licenses could not have been issued without the approval of the top officials," sources added. Despite repeated attempts, RTO Jammu could not be reached for his comment. |
