| NHW closed for third day, DC inspects restoration works | | |

RAMBAN, Jan 23: Jammu Srinagar National Highway remain closed on the third consecutive day in between Ramban-Banihal road stretch.
Aggressived stranded passangers staged protest demonstration against the administration for not provinding them basic facilities. They said that shopkeepers and hotelers are charging extra rates from stranded passangers.
They further said that the from the past three days no officers from the administration came to check this illegal looting.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ramban Showkat Aijaz Bhat said that various link roads have been restored and restoration work is on rest of roads is on progress.
The power receiving station of Ramban, Batote and Banihal besides others have been charged for restoring power supply in said areas. |
