Jammu, Jan 23: All India Students Federation (AISF) J&K submitted memorandum to Assistant General Manager Jammu on proposal to close down seven branches of Canara Bank in state of Jammu & Kashmir.
The Delegation consisted of State Secretary AISF Com. Ranbir Bandral, Com. Pankaj Sharma Comrade Khifayat (State Secretrait Member), Abdul Qyoom, Mohd Anees and Mohd Rafi.
"We (AISF) have come to understand, that Canara Bank proposes to close seven of its branches that at present are functioning in various parts of our state of Jammu & Kashmir. While, receiving this news with disgust and contempt, that it duly deserves, these branches were actually opened, because of persistent public pressure and demand from business community of the concerned areas. It was only after duly weighing these demands, did authorities of your Bank consent to open these Branches", they added.
Canara Bank, we may remind you is a public sector Bank, and a public sector Bank must in sprit and action move with the sentiments of the public at large. |
