| Director FCS & CA inspects Kathua Mills' functioning | | |  Early Times Report
Kathua, Feb 2: Director Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Amit Sharma made a comprehensive tour of Kathua district wherein functioning of various Atta Grinding Mills in Kathua was inspected and directions were given to improve their functioning.
He was accompanied with Assistant Director Kathua T.P Singh, supervisors and other officials of the department.
During this surprise inspection visit, Director Amit Sharma checked the quality of PDS ration being processed in these mills while directing them to keep separate storage and godowns for PDS supplies. Largely, the functioning of mills in Kathua was found in order except for few discrepancies for which AD, Kathua assured immediate remedial measures for correction.
The major mills of Kathua wherein inspections were conducted were Saraswati Floor Mill located near Palli Morh, Amrit Flour Mill located at Nihalpur and Shiva Floor Mill located at College Road, Kathua.
Director also took a review of functioning of department in Kathua in which AD Kathua mentioned about filling up vacant posts, provision of a store at the earliest in Kathua and conduct of an administrative inspection here in near future. |
