JAMMU, Feb 5: Rich floral and musical tributes were paid to legendary poet Prithvi Nath Koul Sayil here today at Athrot Headquarters, Bohri. Sayil was born on February 4, 1939 at Srinagar. His first book was Fariyaad-i-Sayil and last book he gave was Bhaav Pooza. Sayil left for heavenly abode on May 12 last year but he is still alive with his poetry. While paying tributes, Arvin Tickoo event organizer Athrot and a renowned actor-cum-director threw some light about the legendary poet while Kanwal Peshin, a versatile actor, writer, director and social activist sung Sayil's couplet Isharan Chai Sanyi and Sharad Pandita Khah an upcoming singer and future star sang famous bhajans of Sayil. |
