Jammu, Feb 5: J&K Grameen Bank organized thirteen financial literacy programmes in a day in unbanked areas under District Kupwara, Baramulla, Samba, Jammu & Rajouri. The camps were organized in the villages of the District Kupwara, Baramulla, Samba, Jammu & Rajouri under Branch office Chowkibal, Kralpora, Bijhama, Boniyar, Smailpur, Gurah Salathia, Satrayan Camp, Chakroi, Devak, Triath, Shahdara, Darhal Malkan, Sherpur Bala, on the theme of awareness among Farmers, Students & Non-Farm working groups. Among all the chief guests, Zubair Wasil, DDM NABARD, Kupwara aware people about developments in banking sector and latest schemes. The participants were informed regarding various modes of getting cashless\ transactions from banks, various safeguards to be kept in mind in order to be aware and prevent cases of cheating/ corruption while availing different banking facilities with special reference to use of ATM Cards, Mobile Banking etc. People were educated about the Aadhaar Seeding and Mobile seeding with their respective saving bank accounts which is need of the hour for the banking sector.
